Day 34 and Review Number Four

Happy Friday Night! I am again typing from the FREEZING home office so this is going to be short and sweet.  The good news is, I did find some extra terracotta pots in the garage so tomorrow I am going to test out the terracotta pot heating method I have seen online and see if it makes being in this frigid part of our house any more bearable.  In the meantime, lamps and candles are aglow in this chilly corner!!

Moving on with the weekly review, this week flew by but I think we have done well with keeping up with things respectively speaking.  Mia is not able to get up the stairs so I am camping out on the main floor with her while she recovers. Needless to say, getting ready takes quite a bit longer and this is definitely why a full bath on the main floor of a house is a must have.  As a result of the extra time commitment, both our hair has been up mostly, the laundry is piled up constantly with wet towels and the beds are not made daily because I am not going up there to look at them as often.  You know what I have to say about this?  Who cares about that stuff!  There are better things to worry about and be thankful for anyway.  We got Mia outside one day for a walk, she went to the Dr and got a great report and we have been continuing to eat healthy and concentrate on other things like school and work.

How has wearing lipstick helped this week?  It makes me feel prettier even when I  feel overwhelmed. Seeing the remnants on my coffee or tea cup remind me I need to reapply and that helps my self esteem especially when I make cold calls for my work.   My color of the day comes with big rewards too, especially when I get the callbacks and responses I was hoping for but not sure I would get after leaving unsolicited messages on voicemail for people who have no clue who I am. For this reason alone, lipstick rocks.   Mia says it makes her feel prettier too, affecting her mood and making her want to put it on everyday. I can really tell with her too because I have noticed her smile getting bigger in the photos and I really love seeing those choppers.

Last week she said her favorite color was VIP Pink but the longest wearing was Bellini.  My favorite color was Sugared Maple and the longest wearing was Turn On.

Today she has on I'm Yours by Clinique and I have on Quinta by Bite Beauty. We have each worn these colors now...this one is a little too shocking for me but it is very moisturizing. Mia's color is one of my favorites but unfortunately it is discontinued and given the state of the tube we need to rename it All Gone after tonight.  As a footnote:  Mia did find an amusing online lament from another fan of I'm Yours and I do feel this person's pain...http://community.sephora.com/t5/Lips/Elegy-for-a-Lipstick-Clinique-s-quot-I-m-Yours-quot/m-p/1153383

Till tomorrow, AB
